After registering for an event, you will automatically receive an email confirmation and reminder emails with any further details (be sure to check your spam!). These emails contain important information and links! Please save these emails in a separate email folder so you can refer to them later, process any changes, contact the organizer, etc.
Unless an event states a registration cancellation period, and you cancel within that period, all fees paid are non refundable and are not transferable to other events unless we cancel an event. This policy exists to ensure we can continue offering these activities, and it has been implemented in order to be fair to everyone, including organizers and other participants – no exceptions.
If you can no longer make it to an event you registered for, you have the option to sell your spot in the event. You must arrange this on your own including arranging for someone to pay you directly for your spot. (We suggest asking friends in your network or the community in the Backountry Women Facebook group to take your spot!)
If you are arranging for someone to take your spot, you must:
Event attendees are responsible for having a valid e-mail address, communicating with the event organizer regarding any changes in attendance (including selling your spot), and for checking e-mail prior to an event. If you fail to notify an organizer, and don't show up to an event, you will be holding up the activity and causing concern for the organizer - this is unacceptable.
Spots in our events are limited. It is not acceptable to repeatedly register for events and then cancel with short notice / without a valid reason causing you to have to back out. You will receive an email warning if you've been flagged for this behavior. We reserve the right to suspend memberships at our discretion after receiving a warning.
