Join us on a Backcountry Women Warrior Women Hike on Lost Lake Trail, part of the Great Trail. A lot of the more popular trails in the Whiteshell area are getting busy, so this is an opportunity to check out a lesser-known trail in Whiteshell Provincial Park.

This trail is located near West Hawk Lake. It is an approximately 8km route, which we will do out and back for a total of approximately 16km. Doing this as an out and back allows us to avoid a road walk. We will hike along the Great Trail (purple, #7 on the map below) until it meets up with the Lost Lake Trail (#8 on the map) and follow the trail until it meets up with Hwy 312, at which point we will turn around the retrace our route back to our vehicles.  This hike includes a potential opportunity to take a swim in West Hawk Lake.

We will hike this trail rain or shine, unless deemed unsafe.

Event leaders: Kerry St George - Click here for bio.

Arrival Time: by 9:00 AM. We will begin the hike no later than 9:30 AM so please arrive on timeThe time arranged allows for you to have time to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for the leaders to share information with the group.  Please note that there are not washrooms at the trailhead.

LocationWe will meet at the the corner of Hwy 44 and Hwy 312. We will park our cars along the side of the road on 312. A valid Manitoba Parks pass is required and can be purchased online. Backcountry Women acknowledges that this hike will take place on Treaty 3 Territory.
