Join us for a Backcountry Women Adventure Women hike on  High Lake Loop and Top of the World. This is a beautiful fall hike with great views of the changing colors and some nice viewpoints overlooking Falcon Lake!

Event Leaders: Christina Hiebert and Lara Stregger. If you are ready to take your experience up a notch from sticking to trails around Winnipeg, this is your opportunity to join a leader who loves to empower women to safely step out of their comfort zones and try new experiences. 

Arrival Time: Arrive by 9:00 AM. We will begin the hike no later than 9:30 AM. The time arranged allows for you to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for leaders to share information with the group. 

Location: Whiteshell Provincial Park. Exact meeting location will be shared with registered participants. A valid Manitoba Parks pass is required and can be purchased online.

Overall Difficulty Rating: due to the factors mentioned below, this activity is rated a 3/5. This rating is subject to change based on prevailing conditions at the time of the activity, including but not limited to weather.

Duration/Distance: High Lake: 9.33 KM + Top of the World: 3.37 KM = 12.7 KM
Experience: This event is open to participants with an average level of fitness who have some hiking experience. You must have the ability to walk with the group at a moderate pace for the duration of the activity and come to the activity with appropriate footwear, gear and outerwear.

Terrain: High Lake - gravel, dirt, grass, forested areas. Top of the World: rocks (slippery when wet), forested areas, open rock faces. 

Pace: Moderate with a break for a lunch and additional stops for water as needed. 

Please keep dogs at home.
