Join us for a Backcountry Women Adventure Women hike on Amisk Trail. This trail is done as a loop that is scenic and features various viewpoints overlooking the landscape. There are multiple ups and downs as the trail passes through forested sections and on top of the rocky terrain. There are numerous viewpoints where we can stop for a snack/lunch break.

Event Leaders: Christina Hiebert and Ainsley Balcewich Click for more information! If you are ready to take your experience up a notch from sticking to trails around Winnipeg, this is your opportunity to join a leader who loves to empower women to safely step out of their comfort zones and try new experiences. 

Arrival Time: Arrive by 9:30 AM. We will begin the hike no later than 10:00 AM. The time arranged allows for you to attend to personal needs such as organizing your gear and for leaders to share information with the group. 

Location: Amisk Trail. Exact meeting location will be shared with registered participants. A valid Manitoba Parks pass is required and can be purchased online.

Overall Difficulty Rating: due to the factors mentioned below, this activity is rated a 3/5. This rating is subject to change based on prevailing conditions at the time of the activity, including but not limited to weather.

Duration/Distance: 6 KM
Experience: This event is open to participants with an average level of fitness who have some hiking experience. You must have the ability to walk with the group at a moderate pace for the duration of the activity and come to the activity with appropriate footwear, gear and outerwear.

Terrain: The trail has multiple ups and downs along the granite rock. The trail may be snow-packed and you should expect that there may be the potential for some slippery sections. Hiking poles and/or traction on your footwear is recommended. 

Pace: Moderate with a break for lunch and additional stops for water as needed. 

Please keep dogs at home.
