We're giving back to the trails we love through a collaboration with the Manitoba Association of Trail Runners! This is a great opportunity to spend a fun day with great people who love the outdoors while combining hiking with participating in some trail maintenance (clearing dead-fall, trash clean up, trimming around trail signage, etc.) Expect to cover ~9.5 kms over 4-6 hours of trail maintenance on the Centennial Trail in Whiteshell Provincial Park. We’ll be working on a stretch from the Lily Pond access to Bear Lake. *NOTE - THERE IS NO RUNNING, JUST HIKING!*

This is an intermediate level activity due to the distance and physical requirements of the hike.

Everyone participating will need to also register themselves and see the event info here: https://www.matr.ca/2023-utofmb-manitoba-trail-race-events-calendar/trail-work-day-may2023 If you are not a Backcountry Women member but want to particpate, please register directly with the Manitoba Association of Trail Runners & we'll see you there!

We will proceed rain or shine, unless deemed unsafe.

Event Leaders: Ashley Moore and Kerry St George
